The Main Street with US atmosphere

 

From the 24th of July to the 16th of August the traditional American village on the German-American Volksfest invites one to an extensive visit to America.

 

Experience the atmosphere of a typical American provincial town on more than 55,000 square feet of painted and printed facades. Here America-Lovers find everything which their heart desires.

 

Beginning with typical American steaks or the stacked hamburger, to the Spareribs with their tasty sauce, Hot Dogs, Corn-on-the-Cob, Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Ice Cream  and not to forget American Beer & Wine. The culinary highlights are numerous and tasty.

 

What the „Currywurst“ (curried sausage) is to the Berliners, are lobsters and crabmeat for the Northwest.  There the crustaceans are in the abundance and can be eaten on every corner. And on the Volksfest you can also try them!

 

For all which love Mexican kitchen there we offer Tacos, Buritos, Enchiladas and a lot more.

 

In the centre of "Main Street" is the big open-air stage which provides a stage program with more than 300 hours. This means absolutely American dimensions.

 

A classic in the American village is the B-I-N-G-O Hall where  the right five figures in a row leads to many attractive prizes.

 

One can relax on a hot summer evening at the American cocktail bar with one or even more tasteful mixed drinks.

 

Alltogether a little American Dream in the middle of Berlin!

 

 

Every Tuesday is "biker's day":

On Tuesday 28th of July, is first biker’s day.  An award for the nicest motorcycle will be presented at about 8 PM. All bikers who come with their bikes to the Volksfest get free entry and a voucher for a Coke or an "American Beer". The bikes will be parked directly in the American village on "Main Street" (entrance: Marshallstrasse). Live biker music on the stage is provided by international and local bands.

 

 

Thursday, July 30.

Hamburger eating contest

on the big volksfest stage in the village.
The 3 who eat the most hamburgers will receive a prize.  Call 030 817 89 121 to register or for more information.

 

 

Monday is a cowboy and Indian Day:

Come dressed up as Cowboy or Indian.
The best costume will get an award.
Allways 7 pm on the main stage .
1. Prize 100 €
